Let’s face it – just as in life, death played a major role in Westworld’s first season, and not just because the entire park was designed for guests to get their fill on bloodletting. Whether it was the twin murders of Drs. Albert Weber (Jeffrey Wright) and Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) or the savage butchery of Wyatt and his men, the killing off of characters proved to be a series of pivotal moments and momentum-builders for the overarching narrative.
As we continue to anticipate the still-long-away second season, a pertinent question to ask might be to consider how murder might continue to play a dominant role in shaping the story moving forward; the hosts seem to be on the cusp with all the rest of humanity, after all, and death should hang more heavily in the air than ever before.
So, then: who should be the first character to be offed next year? Let’s make it official by voting.
Results from our previous poll
“Who is the most human character in Westworld?” we asked last time. You answered: 30% of you offered up the host Bernard Lowe. The other two main leads, Dolores Abernathy and Maeve Millay, came in tied for second (at 19%).
In dead-last place? Another tie: Clementine Pennyfeather and the ambiguous “other,” which only got 2% each. Poor Clementine.
