Westworld’s leading lady, the Emmy nominated Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores), recently found some time to stop by Variety Studio and offer some exciting new details about the show’s second season and what fans can expect to see from her character.
Speaking about the season as a whole, Wood divulges that the upcoming run is going to dive deeper into the roots of the park, and why it ultimately came to be:
“I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of what Westworld is capable of, a little bit more backstory of how it came to be, why it’s there. There’s a lot of pieces being filled in.”
Perhaps during these trips to the past is where we’ll get to see William (Jimmi Simpson) and maybe even his former traveling companion Logan (Ben Barnes) once again?
In regards to Dolores, Wood only offers the following: “My character is quite a different beast this season.” This isn’t all that surprising to hear, given where we leave Dolores in the first season finale and how we momentarily see her in season 2’s teaser trailer, but it’s still exciting to hear that the host’s new vengeful persona is something we should be seeing a lot of next year.
Check out the full interview below, and let us know if you interpret her words any differently!
