With Westworld reported to be on location in Utah this month for season 2 filming, cast members are taking advantage of the beautiful scenery. Several actors have posted breathtaking photos on Instagram recently, including Jeffrey Wright (Bernard Lowe), Luke Hemsworth (Ashley Stubbs), Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy), James Marsden (Teddy Flood), and newcomer Katja Herbers (Grace). While not terribly revealing, they do confirm the cast is in Utah and hint at which characters may be interacting onscreen.
Wright shared several pictures and a video from Zion National Park to his Instagram account. Wright mentions he is with Hemsworth and even includes a shot of his costar from the set.
In the first teaser trailer shared at San Diego Comic Con, we saw Bernard and Stubbs out in the park together, so it appears the characters will be working together (at least for a few scenes) during the second season.
Hemsworth also posted a photo from what looks to be the same location on his Instagram.
Wood took advantage of a day off from filming to share some scenic shots on her Instagram account.
New cast member Herbers and returning cast member Marsden took an artistic approach to their – almost identical – posts. Perhaps the two are filming scenes together? Herbers will be playing a “seasoned guest,” so maybe she will be sympathetic to the hosts’ plight, or maybe she’ll simply be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Finally – in a possibly Westworld related post – Angela Sarafyan shared a photo of herself learning to ride a horse. It’s possible she is just doing it for fun, but it would make sense if she is doing it for the show. After all, Clementine appeared to be a part of a host army on the season one finale, and she could spend season two rounding up guests in the park.
