As we FINALLY enter the year that Westworld‘s second season is premiering (woohoo!), the show’s co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are by no means pumping their brakes.
According to the conference’s website, Nolan and Joy have officially been announced as featured speakers for SXSW’s 2018 conference, taking place March 9th-18th in Austin, TX. The duo will be part of the ‘Entertainment Influencers’ sessions, and while an exact date and time for their talk have yet to be announced, their session will fall somewhere between March 10th and 13th.
By March of this year, season 2 of Westworld should be well into post production, with only a month or two to go before the season premiere (fingers crossed!), so Nolan and Joy should have plenty of time to prep for their talk. Will they divulge any information about the much-anticipated sophomore season?

In other Westworld news, the show’s very own Jimmi Simpson (William) recently caught up with Esquire to chat about his many current and upcoming projects, including the next season of the HBO hit. When asked about any of the season’s details, it’s no surprise Simpson was tight-lipped, but he did promise that the season will be epic, noting, “Everything I hear [about the season], I’m like, ‘Oh my God.'”
Simpson has certainly kept himself busy as of late, most recently appearing in the much-anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s anthology series Black Mirror. Along with his upcoming stint on Westworld, Simpson will also soon be appearing in USA Network’s Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. drama Unsolved, as well as co-starring in the feature Under the Silver Lake, slated for release later this year.
Check out Simpson’s entire interview here, during which he also discusses a couple life-altering events that completely changed his perspective on acting, and let us know what you think!
