Despite what a certain groundhog predicted this morning, spring is on the way! That means the premiere of Westworld‘s second season is looming ever closer, and HBO is ramping up their marketing efforts accordingly. Today they bring us an exciting announcement, and a rather cryptic tweet (what else would we expect from this series?) to share!
If you aren’t a football fan and need a reason to watch the big game, Entertainment Weekly has good news for you! They report that HBO has created it’s first Super Bowl ad in 20 years, all to promote the upcoming season of Westworld. The ad will consist of the first full trailer for season two, directed by showrunner Jonathan Nolan himself. If the teaser trailer (which premiered at San Diego Comic Con last year) is any indication, we can expect some mind-blowing scenes on Sunday.
Head over to EW for the rest, including an exclusive photo from the trailer!
If that isn’t enough excitement, the official Westworld Twitter account posted an interesting video that suggests all is definitely not well inside the park. It begins with an unknown user asking for help, before a system override displays a greeting stating Journey into Night celebrations may cause a slow response and to contact corporate for urgent matters. It ends with a message from “Charlotte Hale” that all is well and “management downsizing on track.” Check it out below.

I think it’s safe to assume our hosts are still in control and shutting down any attempts to contact the outside world. Someone is likely posing as Charlotte in an effort to maintain the appearance of “business as usual” – although her message about downsizing management is probably all too true for the unfortunate Delos board members trapped in the park.
Are you hyped for the upcoming season Westworld fans? Let us know in the comments!
Yes! Can’t wait! Though I have too wait until they put it on youtube.

HBO was filming at Melody Ranch for two days this week. Filming onstage to include gunfire. I think it was for Westworld. So maybe it was for the trailer?

Needed to compose you this very little note in order to thank you very much as before for those unique tips you have featured on this website. It has been quite tremendously open-handed with people like you in giving freely what most people would have advertised as an electronic book to help make some money for their own end, and in particular since you could have done it if you decided. Those ideas as well acted like the fantastic way to understand that other individuals have a similar interest just as my own to understand more around this condition. I’m sure there are some more pleasurable sessions ahead for those who find out your blog.
