With the season two premiere of Westworld right around the corner, it seems like the show’s cast is finally allowed to reveal a bit more about their respective characters this season (to a certain extent). During Monday’s red carpet premiere in Los Angeles, and throughout the week, actors have been sitting down with various news outlets to divulge some new juicy details about what fans can expect!
We start with Access Hollywood, who caught up with a few of the show’s stars this week. James Marsden (Teddy) talked about how his character finally reaches consciousness and attains free will this season, all amid an environment of “absolute chaos”:
Luke Hemsworth (Ashley Stubbs) chatted on the red carpet about the pleasant surprise of learning from series co-creator Lisa Joy that his character would return this season. And during his interview, he revealed that Stubbs and Karl Strand (Gustaf Skarsgård) will be butting heads this season, and couldn’t help but compare this rivalry to the real life Hemsworth/Skarsgård one, which he claims his family is ahead on:
Amazon Fire TV also made it to the LA premiere, and had the chance to speak to Marsden as well, who spoke about how the show is essentially setting fire to the themes and characters that were set up during the first season:

Ben Barnes (Logan) also stopped by on the red carpet to chat, and talked about a very distinct costume choice he made for his Union Soldier uniform that gave a nod to fellow HBO juggernaut Game of Thrones:

And finally, Ptolemy Slocum, who plays the lovable anxious wreck Sylvester, was asked what he would say if he wrote a letter to his character, knowing what he knows now:
