While we anxiously await the next Westworld episode, HBO has graciously provided a few new photos for us to obsess over for the next few days! Sunday’s episode is titled ““Virtù e Fortuna;” it is written by Roberto Patino and Ron Fitzgerald and directed by Richard J. Lewis. The synopsis reads: “There is beauty in who we are. Shouldn’t we, too, try to survive?” Check out the first photo above and the rest below the cut!The photo of Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) is taken from a scene in the trailer, where Dolores utters the line used as the synopsis for this episode. It will be interesting to see these two interact, and hopefully we will get more clues about Bernard’s apparent “murder” of all the hosts in the season premiere.
Things look a bit bleaker for Bernard in the photo below, as he appears scared of the person or host looking down on him. It’s difficult to make out who it could be, but there is a brief scene in the trailer that suggests this could be Clementine (Angela Sarafyan). Given her state of mind (or lack thereof), it may be difficult for Bernard to get himself out of this situation.
The shot below of Dolores, Teddy (James Marsden), Angela (Talulah Riley), and their gang is likely after a battle has taken place. You can see the bullet wound in Dolores’ side. She may be considering what to do with the survivors…if there are any.
Here we get another look at Maeve (Thandie Newton) and her travel companions Hector (Rodrigo Santoro) and Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) – who is still sporting his ridiculous outfit (maybe Maeve will upgrade him if he’s a good boy). They appear to be looking at someone, or something, unexpected.
We have another shot, just of Maeve and Hector this time. It’s difficult to make out where they are here, but it looks like it might be somewhere in the Delos facility?
The final photo shows Maeve and Hector again, this time outdoors with what looks like snow falling. Since we never see snow in Westworld, perhaps they have made to another park. This could be our first look at Shogun World – the person in the background may be wearing a kimono.
