  1. Tonite we will find out more about Ghost Nation. Episode 8 “Kiksuya”
At least, something. Remember that they have a legend/myth about shades (the guys in hazmat suits)– a doll- …..the child dropped in when they were walking through the town.

Akecheta is apparently another host that was built in the beginning, the same time as Dolores.

  2. Just watched the trailer for this episode to get a bit hyped up, and noticed something very intriguing at the end… the last clip shows Akecheta waking up (presumably on his own) in the Mesa, and it looks like you can see Maeve lying on the table in the background. It also looks like he woke up on his own, just as Maeve kept doing in the first season.

Don’t know if this will be connected or not but it definitely draws some questions. Can’t wait for the episode!

  3. This show has such a wealth of talent but too often it gets hidden under the multiple timelines, endless monologues, and firepower. This episode was a showcase for Zahn McClarnon and the soulful restraint that he brings to his performances. I loved him in Fargo S2 and tonight proved why he is such a welcome addition to this cast.

A lesson for this show is that less is often more. This episode advanced the story line, continued to give insight into the hosts and gave us backstory on one of the more interesting characters in the show. It was simple, quiet and elegant. I loved this episode.

  4. mariamb,

I forgot he was in Fargo! It’s been bugging me that I haven’t been able to place where I’ve seen him before. He’s been great for both shows, and this episode was definitely one of my favorites.

I loved the concept of him remembering everything in part due to him never dying in the 10 years since the park opened. The reaction the techs gave once they found out he had never died was priceless 🙂 And the whole conversation with Ford about Deathbringer, and how she would come again soon and that he should be ready. So good!

  5. Question about Logan: we finally see the scene from the trailer when Akecheta finds Logan. We see that he doesn’t save him but he comforts him/covers him with the blanket. However, it is Logan’s rantings about “the door” and the other world that help raise Akecheta’s awareness.

From the trailer, we know that there is one more scene of Logan that hasn’t aired: he is standing by the pool and his father turns and walks away from him. With only two more episodes left, that scene may hold some significance to the William/Delos family saga. And as unlikely as it is, I still hold out a sliver of hope that Logan has survived and is part of a plot to destroy Delos.

  6. mariamb,

I am sure it will hold lots of significance. While I’m not sure if they’ll give us anymore twists with the Delos family (though they definitely could throw some crazy stuff at us!), I think this might be the last look at the past for us this season, with regards to the Delos family. I’m excited to see that final conversation between Logan and his father.

I also don’t hold any optimism that Logan is still alive, but I’d love if he was. He’d be a great addition to season 3, even though it wouldn’t be betrayed by Barnes. I also have a feeling that his story and young William’s might be done this after the season ends, unfortunately. But I hope I’m wrong!
