Westworld Season 3: Ben Barnes on Logan’s Future and New Park Name Revealed!

Logan and James Delos Westworld

The secrecy surrounding Westworld‘s third season has kept us pretty well in the dark about the storyline and returning cast, although the first trailer and set photos have given us a few hints. A recent interview with Ben Barnes appears to reveal whether we will see Logan again, and we also have a potential name for a new Delos park!

Speaking with Digital Spy, Barnes confesses, “I think I’m definitely dead. It felt pretty definitive the last time.” Death is relative on Westworld though, as host bodies could be created for anyone. The real Logan died of a drug overdose, but we saw the character again in season two through digital memories, and he was also Dolores and Bernard’s guide in the large Delos server on the fringes of the park.

It’s possible we may see some incarnation of Logan again in the future, but it does seem that season three will focus more on the present. We can probably take Barnes at his word that Logan’s story is over…for now anyway.

In other news, Thandie Newton (Maeve) and Rodrigo Santoro (Hector) have been filming scenes in Spain for a new Westworld park, and Redditor u/Lukedriftwood may have discovered the name. He found a new domain name, discoverwarworld.com, registered on April 26th by MarkMonitor Inc – the company that previously registered discoverwestworld.com and discovershogunworld.com. Considering Newton, Santoro, and other actors on set were dressed in World War II era clothing, War World certainly fits.

What do you think Maeve and Hector are doing in this new park? Will we see any other new locations next season? Sound off in the comments!

One response to “Westworld Season 3: Ben Barnes on Logan’s Future and New Park Name Revealed!”

  1. Barnes’s comments seem to chime with what Jimmi Simpson said a while back. I don’t think we’re going to be seeing either Logan or young William in S3. Pity. 🙁

Although it’s true that according to the rules established in the first two seasons of the show, just about any apparently killed-off cast member could return at any point. They just won’t necessarily be playing the same character.

I think maybe Warworld is the replacement for Westworld after the robot rebellion was cleaned up, and Maeve and Hector and the other salvaged hosts have been repurposed to populate it. They can even keep the \W/ logo…! ;D
